My neighbor had approached me about illustrating a story that he and his son started to write during the pandemic. I created the main character from the inspiration of my neighbor’s son at the time, and drew about a bird determined to fly. The characters, setting and illustration style are all inspired by this great father and son project!

Thomas Wells and myself have made story time appearances and workshop classes at local businesses and schools!

I have had the great opportunity of being commissioned to paint clothing for a rock concert. This made me instantly fall in love with fabric painting! Since then, I have painted, shoes, tote bags, jean jackets and shirts!

I also have made ‘live art’ appearances as I paint my current wearable art commissions. Contact me if you are interested in some wearable art of your own!

My launch event is scheduled for August at Almost Famous in East Granby, in honor of Coloring Book Day.

Years ago I started to teach art classes locally in Simsbury Connecticut, at the Storyteller Cottage. The art classes ranged from cartooning to traditional drawing, for all ages! Unfortunately due to the pandemic, they had to close their doors. I was given the opportunity to teach art, here and there, but recently have had a more permanent home at Gather On Hopmeadow! I currently teach cartooning at a summer camp for kids. It has been so much fun!
